Biyahe ("we", "our", or "us") is a travel itinerary discovery app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

We collect the following when you use Biyahe:

Email address — collected when you create an account via Supabase Auth.
Profile information — display name, city, and bio that you optionally provide.
Itineraries and trips — content you create or save within the app.
Visit logs — records of app sessions including a timestamp and the platform used (web, iOS, or Android).
Guest ID — a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser's localStorage to track anonymous sessions before sign-in. No personally identifiable information is attached to it.

We do not collect payment information, precise location data, or any sensitive personal data.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the app experience
To display your profile and itineraries to other users (only what you choose to publish)
To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Biyahe uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

Supabase — database and authentication. Stores your account and content data. Privacy Policy
Google Maps — maps display and place search. Privacy Policy
Pexels — stock photos used for place imagery. Privacy Policy
Sentry — error tracking to help us diagnose crashes. May capture device/browser info and stack traces. Privacy Policy

Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab, which removes your personal data from our systems.

Children's Privacy

Biyahe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Biyahe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app via the Profile tab. Alternatively, you can email us to request account deletion and we will process it within 30 days.
